The equipment price and the amount needed to receive and operate it are different figures. Ask the seller to identify currency, dispatch location, delivery destination, transport, insurance and what happens if the shipment is delayed or damaged.

Confirm who handles importation

A seller's Canadian address does not by itself establish that the machine is already in Canada. Ask who is the importer of record and who pays clearance, brokerage, duties and applicable taxes. Get the agreed delivery responsibilities in writing instead of assuming that a domestic supplier removes every border-related cost.

Do not assume a universal duty or tax result

Tariff classification, origin and the circumstances of the transaction affect import treatment. Ask a customs broker or the Canada Border Services Agency to confirm the applicable requirements for the exact equipment. A generic ASIC blog cannot guarantee a zero-duty classification or determine your complete tax treatment.

Separate logistics from warranty

Confirm the warranty provider, start date, return location and responsibility for transport and repair costs. Ask how a dead-on-arrival unit is reported and what evidence is required. Include installation or hosting separately

Delivery of a miner does not mean it is ready to operate at your site. Confirm power, cooling and any installation work. If choosing hosting, obtain model acceptance, receiving instructions, deployment timing and the separate service agreement before sending equipment.
