Air vs Hydro ASIC Cooling: Compare the Complete Installation
Start with the site
Compare cooling methods against the building and the exact machines. Air-cooled miners need suitable airflow, heat extraction and noise management. Hydro miners require a compatible liquid circuit and external heat rejection. Neither method is automatically silent, maintenance-free or profitable.
Account for all operating loads
Compare the miner’s power under equivalent conditions and then include fans, pumps, cooling equipment and other auxiliary loads. Noise must be assessed for the complete installation, including external fans and heat rejection. A hashrate comparison alone does not establish the lower total bill.
Confirm responsibilities before delivery
Ask who provides the infrastructure, checks compatibility, commissions the equipment and maintains it. Request written charges for installation, operation and repairs, plus outage and end-of-contract terms. Captain Mining can review air or hydro requirements with your quantity, model references and deployment date.
