Two quotes for a Z15 Pro can describe very different purchases. One may cover a machine ready for dispatch; another may refer to a future production batch, different delivery conditions or equipment that still needs hosting approval. Compare what will actually be delivered and operated.

This checklist is for customers buying a Z15 Pro in Canada or arranging a deployment with Captain Mining. It also works as a procurement brief when ordering several units.

1. Confirm the exact model and condition

Ask for the complete model name, hashrate configuration, included power supply and equipment condition. A Z15, Z15 Pro and a differently labelled supplier offer should not be treated as interchangeable. Request the model label and corresponding specification when an offer is unclear.

2. Distinguish a production batch from a delivery date

Ask whether the quoted date means manufacturing, dispatch, arrival or commissioning. Those are separate milestones. If the equipment is not ready to ship, request written conditions for delays and any available cancellation or substitution options.

A lower price on a later batch comes with different timing. Do not calculate the purchase around uninterrupted earnings starting today when the unit will only be delivered later.

3. Compare the amount you must pay before operation

Your quote should identify the equipment amount and currency, shipping, receiving, installation and any other charges. Ask how taxes or import charges are handled for your destination. Record the payment recipient, payment schedule and invoice details.

If you need hosting, separate the purchase from deposits and recurring costs. Clarify when billing starts and which service charges apply while a machine is awaiting installation or undergoing repair.

4. Obtain hosting acceptance before sending equipment

Provide the hosting team with the exact model, quantity and target arrival date. Request confirmation that the proposed facility can accept those units and identify the receiving contact.

Agree on an intake record: serial numbers, condition on arrival and the process for reporting damage or a machine that fails commissioning. For multiple units, ask how the team will distinguish each machine in operating reports.

5. Check electrical supply, ventilation and noise

BITMAIN’s Z15 Pro reference lists 200–240 V AC input and a 75 dBA noise figure under stated test conditions. Have the actual installation checked against the supplied manual. The machine’s heat and sound must be accounted for before placing it in a workspace.

If your location is unsuitable, discuss air-cooled ASIC hosting as part of the purchase. Compatibility, service availability and deployment dates need written confirmation.

6. Define maintenance and reporting expectations

Who diagnoses a fault? Who approves repairs? Are parts and labour billed separately? What evidence is needed for a warranty claim? Confirm the warranty provider, its start date and the return-shipping responsibilities for the exact order.

Also agree on access to machine or pool reports, the escalation contact and the procedure for changing approved configuration settings. Hosting does not remove downtime or repair risk.

7. Send a useful brief to Captain Mining
